Note: GM has used four different bolts on these differentials so to complete your order, we need to know which bolts you have. These differentials have used both metric and standard cover bolts. The bolt length has not been consistent either. When ordering one of these covers, you will need to pull one of your stock bolts out (a top bolt is best) and measure the length and determine whether it is metric or standard. (Yes, this is a pain. However, the bolts and drain plugs are stainless steel and expensive. We do not want our customers to pay extra for several different sizes with each cover.) Here are some guidelines:

Bolt length is measured from the underside of the head (where a washer would sit) to the tip.
Metric bolts will have 20 threads per inch, standard ones will have 18. Also, a bolt head with lines or letters on it is typically standard. A bolt with numbers such as 5.8, 9.8, 10.9, or 12.9 is likely to be metric.
If you order on-line, please note the length of your stock bolts, and whether they are standard or metric in the vehicle information section when placing your order so we can provide the correct bolts.

This cover features fill/level check and drain holes for easier maintenance. It also has an undrilled boss for a temperature sensor. The option to have boss drilled and tapped will need to be ordered over the phone, not on-line.

This cover can be machined for a temperature sensor. The sensor will be located on the face of the cover and will point toward the rear of the vehicle. See image (click here) for an example. Please call to order if you would like a cover with a temperature sensor location.

Bolt Info: GM has used four different bolts on these differentials so to complete your order, we need to know which bolts you have. These differentials have used both metric and standard cover bolts. The bolt length has not been consistent either. When ordering one of these covers, you will need to pull one of your stock bolts out (a top bolt is best) and measure the length and determine whether it is metric or standard.

Metric bolts will have 1.25 threads per mm (20 threads per inch), standard ones will have 18 threads per inch. Also, a bolt head with lines or letters on it is typically standard. A bolt with numbers such as 5.8, 9.8, 10.9, or 12.9 is likely to be metric.
Bolt length is measured from the underside of the head (where a washer would sit) to the tip. If the bolts are metric, the length will be 21mm or 16mm. If the bolt is standard, the length will be 5/8 inch or 7/8 inch.
So there are four different bolts possible with these differentials. Be sure to order the correct one for your vehicle. When you look at the ordering selections above, the last number is the length and the middle number is the threads per inch or mm. We know this is a hassle, but we do not want to send the wrong bolts or charge everyone a lot of extra money to cover sending all possible bolts with each cover.

When you get your cover, it will include bolts that are longer than the stock bolts since the flange on PML's cover is much thicker than stock. Our bolts are 3/8-inch or 9mm longer than stock bolts. The bolts with the stock cover will not work.

Our Price: $195.00

This diff cover fits the rear end on the GM Corporation 9½" 14 bolt differentials used on many Chevy and GMC trucks, vans and SUVs. Typical applications include the following. Be aware that for each model and year there may be more than one rear axle possible.

You can also use PML's diff cover part number 10303-2. Part number 10303-2 has a fill hole and less capacity (0.5 qts. over stock) compared to this cover (1.0 qts. over stock).

For the Hummer H2, you must use part number 10303-2. This diff cover will not work for you.

For 2007 and newer vehicles with fill holes on the stock covers, do not order this diff cover! Order PML diff cover part number 10303-2. If your stock cover does not have a fill hole, this cover (part number 9504) will work.

This 14 bolt 10 1/2-inch differential cover uses 12 of the 14 bolts. The bolt hole at the bottom was removed because the drain boss is best located there. At the top of the cover another bolt hole was removed. The flange is 3/8-inch thick and blanchard ground to be flat and smooth. We have sold many of these and have never had a problem with leaking. The flange is very strong and the 2 bolts left out are not missed.

Please check and order the correct mounting bolt thread diameter. These differentials were made with 3/8-inch (.375 inch) and 8mm (.315 inch) bolts. PML offers the cover in both versions: P/N 9369-1 is for 3/8-inch bolts and P/N 9369-2 is for 8mm bolts.
